Craftsmanship that burns - in the best sense of the word.

Franz Huber Jr. is a passionate distiller. What once began with the historic Maria Theresa distilling rights, he continues today in a modern, regionally rooted distillery. High-quality brandies are distilled exclusively from fruit - very traditionally, very consciously and with an uncompromising philosophy of quality.

Whether fine brandy or gin - this is where craftsmanship with soul, regionality and a large portion of Herzenslust is created.

Strictly speaking, the Maria Theresa distilling rights have been firmly linked to the Huber'schen Hof for centuries, since the time of the great Austrian empress. However, this distilling right is and has always been subject to a few technical restrictions. Farmers have only ever been allowed to distil fruit. "Hands off grain & co." was the guideline to prevent farmers from preferring distilled to baked goods and unhappily burdening their families with distilling schnapps instead of providing them with bread.

From fruit to essence - precision in every step

Only the best counts for Franz. Cherries, Wachau apricots, pears, apples and raspberries arrive at the farm by the ton - hand-picked, sorted, pure nature. They are then mashed, strictly according to hygienic standards, before the mash ferments for around two weeks.

The distillation process, which takes around two and a half hours, produces the heart of every brandy: a clear, aromatic distillate with around 75% alcohol. The first run and the second run are cleanly separated; only the middle run, the "heart", ends up in the bottle later. The perfect balance of 13 alcohols ensures a fine nose and pure taste. Over 700 liters of brandy are produced every year - ready to drink, full of character and ready to be tasted at Herzenslust at any time.

The G-spot gin - the precise passion

Particularly famous: Franz's award-winning signature spirit, the G-Punkt Gin. Juniper, 13 secret herbs and a great deal of expertise result in a gin that acquires its unmistakable depth through barrel ageing. A precision landing that not only delights connoisseurs, but has long since achieved cult status.
